Xieng Mieng Project Info
Mission
The mission of the Xieng Mieng Project is to transform the beloved character known throughout Laos and some parts of Southeast Asia into something that will entertain, educate, and preserve the Laotian culture.
Children's Book
The first part of the project is the children's book. You can look at the synopsis for each story in the stories section. I will be writing the books in rhymes with some loose translation of the original fables. I want the books to have some similarities to that of Dr. Seuss' books. We will have the books for sale on this site when it becomes available.
Interactive Learning
The second part of the project is Interactive Learning. The Interactive Learning piece will include animations, songs, Lao alphabets and games. We will be bringing one of the stories to life in an animated short. You can look at some of the animation tests that we have done so far in the movies section. This piece will also be on sale here once it is completed.
Contributions are Welcomed
This project is a huge undertaking for one person to accomplish. I do appreciate all the support I can get. I promise I will use the funds for this project only. I will be putting up a page for this purpose. Contributors will receive copies of the materials we publish and create. Thank you to the Lao Heritage Foundation for their generous contribution.
